Light up your Friday at the Lakeshore Balloon Glow

One of the lakefront’s largest annual events returns to downtown Manitowoc for an incredible night of entertainment, food and fun.

On August 16, the Lakeshore Balloon Glow event begins with the Webfooters Ski Show at 5 p.m., hot air balloons are inflated at dusk, and a fireworks display concludes the evening at 8:30 p.m.

In between there are magic shows, aerial dance performances, food trucks, bouncy castles and more.

Jam at Acoustic Fest

Relax to the sounds of acoustic music at the 28th Annual Acoustic Fest!

This free concert, featuring many accomplished and local musicians, will take place on August 17th from noon to 9 p.m. at Washington Park, 1115 Washington St., in Manitowoc.

There will be several food trucks and beverage tents on site, with all proceeds benefiting the community in the form of scholarships and donations.

Take it easy on a coastal cruise

Feel the wind in your hair one last time this summer on a coastal cruise!

The SS Badger Lake Michigan car ferry will make its final cruise on August 17 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Live entertainment is provided by Bobby Gleason. The onboard museum, gift shop and arcade are open. Refreshments are available during the cruise.

Splash around at the family pool party

Cool off from the summer heat with a swim in the Manitowoc Family Aquatic Center pool and mini golf during the Family Pool Party on August 17 at 5:30 p.m.

The Bob & Scott Show features fun music, pool toys and plenty of popcorn, candy and drinks until 9 p.m.

See the kids from Wisconsin

The nationally known Kids From Wisconsin are back in Manitowoc to showcase their diverse talents in an exciting show! Their music will fill the Capitol Civic Centre on August 15th from 7-9pm.

This high-energy show is called “Larger than Life: The Great Entertainers” and features legendary music from historic bands and orchestras to modern rock and pop.
