Diane Wilson – Troubleshooter at ABC11 WTVD

Diane’s investigative work resulted in two national recalls: one involving more than three million washing machines; a second involving several children’s makeup products that contained asbestos. Diane and her photographer won an Emmy for their series of stories entitled “The Dangers of Children’s Makeup.”

Diane grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from Gannon University in Erie, PA. She began her career as a television anchor there and then worked in Rockford, IL and Toledo, OH where she won an Emmy for her story on local troops coming home. She has been with ABC11 for two decades and has secured over $8 million in money, goods and services for local viewers. She continues to enjoy the challenges her job brings every day.

Besides helping viewers solve their personal and business problems, the best part about moving here was being able to get married and start a family. Diane and her husband have two daughters and enjoy the beautiful North Carolina weather, which allows them to explore all that the Raleigh-Durham area has to offer.
