GREEN BAY (WLUK) — The Green Bay women’s basketball team announced its schedule for the 2024-25 non-league season on Monday.
A total of 11 games will be played, including five non-conference games and six away games. Three of these games will take place on Thanksgiving weekend at the Puerto Rico Shootout.
The Green Bay Packers’ non-conference schedule is tough, as they face five opponents who played in last year’s NCAA Tournament and eight opponents who played in the postseason.
The Phoenix women will open their 2024-25 season on the road against Kansas State on Nov. 4. Green Bay has a 2-4 overall record against the Wildcats, having last met in December 2007. In that game, the Phoenix defeated K-State 68-56 at the Kress Center.
In November, Green Bay will face Northern Iowa, UIC, North Dakota and DePaul before heading to Puerto Rico, where the Phoenix will play Virginia, Drake and Norfolk State.
The non-conference games will then conclude with three games against Creighton, Ripon College and Parkside in mid-December.
The full Horizon League schedule is expected to be released in the coming weeks.
