Nampa Police Release Hilarious Update on Green Power Ranger’s Arrest

It’s a story we couldn’t make up if we tried – but it’s serious.

You may remember that a little over a week ago we reported that police were searching for a man who pushed an elderly man to the ground in Nampa.

As Nampa Police continued to search for the man, we learned that he was a “Hollywood star” playing none other than… the Green Power Ranger.

Here’s a look at the incident that happened in a Nampa parking lot just over a week ago:

The video – and the scene – are terribly difficult to watch.

It doesn’t matter what the encounter in the parking lot was about – there is nothing that could justify this behavior and he must be held accountable for doing this to a vulnerable member of our community.

A few hours after the crime, Nampa Police released the following statement on Facebook:

At around 11:45 a.m. today, the man in this video pushed an elderly man to the ground in a parking lot outside District 208 after they argued over a parking issue. After pushing the man down, the suspect left him on the ground and drove away in a flipped up black 4-door truck with Texas plates. You can see part of the truck in the video.

After identifying him, the police finally managed to catch him.

Apparently, Rivera played the green Power Ranger from 2011 to 2015 and was in Idaho for an appearance at the Magic Valley Comic-Con.

Rivera will go on trial on August 28.

And now, after all this already “crazy” news, the Nampa Police Department posted a post on their Facebook page that has the internet laughing.

WATCH: These 19 people are Boise’s most wanted

Yes, even here in the Treasure Valley, where crime isn’t as rampant, there is a Most Wanted list. According to Southwest Idaho Crime Stoppers, these are the most wanted of all. Many of these mug shots are from Ada and Canyon Counties. Do you recognize anyone?
