USA Network will restart John Grisham‘S The RainmakerAnd John Slattery will play the main role!
The 61-year-old mad Men Alum will lead the yet-to-be-announced cast of the drama from Lionsgate Television and Blumhouse Television, THR reports.
He plays Leo F. Drummond, who is one of the John Grishams most iconic characters and “a legendary lion of the courtroom and senior partner at Tinley Britt, the powerful firm that Rainmaker “The opponent is the protagonist Rudy Baylor,” the report continues.

Here is the official description: “Rudy Baylor, fresh out of law school, takes on courtroom lion Leo Drummond (Slide track) and his girlfriend from law school. Rudy, along with his boss and her unkempt paralegal, uncover two interconnected conspiracies surrounding the mysterious death of their client’s son.”
The series order for the Rainmaker “Reboot” is USA Network’s first non-shared scripted series since 2020.
The Rainmaker was made into a film in 1997, screenplay and direction: Francis Ford Coppola based on the 1995 novel of the same name. Jon Voight played Leo F. Drummond in the film.
